Award winning Village Gate Dalkey
Margaret Ryan has managed The Village Gate estate for over 20 years. She has liaised with the Gate (Dalkey) Management Committee on all aspects of the day-to-day management and maintenance of the estate. This work has included landscape gardening, road and cobble lock maintenance, painting, lighting, refuse collection, planning applications, legal queries, accounting and financial affairs, company law and regulations. At all times Margaret and her team of experts at A2Z Property Management have provided friendly, prompt, professional advice and guidance and creative solutions to more difficult issues.
The Village Gate has won the award for the best kept communal garden area at the annual Dalkey Community Council Garden competition on numerous occasions.
In July 2022, the town of Dalkey was chosen to represent Ireland in the European Entente Florale competition and The Village Gate was chosen to represent Dalkey as an exemplar of a well-managed estate in Dalkey. Margaret and her team worked around the clock to ensure the estate was looking its very best. Dalkey was awarded a silver medal and The Village Gate was also presented with a Special Recognition Award from Dalkey Tidy Towns.

I moved into the waterside apartments in 2003 , my 1st time living in an apartment so the management company was a new concept to me ....I found out fast what a fly by night management company looked liked . Bins went uncollected, communication was zero I was clamped 1 morning in the underground car park I had no idea clamping was in operation I finally got through to management company who told me there were stickers up when I saw them there was 1 sticker up in the whole carpark . Lifts left broken for days on end Gardens unkempt just everything way you can think the management company acted appallingly not one ounce of integrity . Cars were getting broken into weekly on one occasion 3 cars were set alite and everybody had to be evacuated at 3 am and still they would not spend 1000 or so euro on cctv ..
When Margaret's company A to Z took over everything changed all blocks were painted inside and out new carpets went into every block bins sorted out gardens manicured and accessorised to the grounds they are today . Dispute with neighbours were dealt with promptly and fairly but above all there was a line of communication letters regularly sent out informing people of anything coming up often reminder letters would follow . I wish Margaret and her team all the best with their new venture and to their new clients you are in excellent hands
